St. Andrew’s Kirk is a brand new congregation in the historic Church of Scotland. As such it offers exciting opportunities for worship and witness with roots which go back to Christ and his first disciples.
Here in the heart of Helensburgh our forebears in their various congregations bore witness to the gospel in their own ways and times.
Now four of our town’s original congregations are united into one – St. Andrew’s Kirk. Strengthened by our past, we aim to be a vital presence for good in the midst of our community. We hope that you will want to be part of that as, together, we seek to express Christ’s love for all people in our worship, activities and involvements.
Our fine church building is open every day between 9.30 & 5.00. There is much of beauty and interest to see in it – and a sense of tranquillity to be found. Our halls and office are the hub of week-round activities for church and non-church groups, from youth organisations through study groups and a coffee room to art and music activities.
Central to all we do is Sunday worship, offered in a variety of styles, in which we seek to glorify God and explore his purposes. Whether you are committed or cautiously curious, you will always be welcome.
With my colleagues George Vidits and Tina Kemp I am privileged to offer pastoral care in all the circumstances that life – and death – bring to families in our town. We are here to help and serve.
