What Does The Food Industry’s McDonald’s & OSI Group Have In Common

To simply get straight to the matter at hand, the rise of plant-based food solutions is in full-effect. Two of the biggest names in the food industry are playing a key role in the growth and success of these particular products. OSI Group and McDonalds are the key components, and these food giants have a history that dates back to over 50 years. The Oak Park neighborhood of Chicago is where OSI Group McDonalds was founded. This family-owned and operated business supplied high-quality meats throughout the Chicago-statistical area. OSI of today provides an extensive list of foods that fall under every major food group. In addition to that, the Aurora-based company specializes in custom-food productions, food processing and food distribution.

McDonalds is currently conducting a test run on its new product, and this new product is a meatless burger. The PLT has been getting rave reviews as of late. If all goes well, the PLT will be a close competitor to Burger King’s meatless burger. This particular burger was created by Impossible Foods. Impossible Foods is headquartered in California, has been around since 2011 and is the hottest ticket on the market. Unfortunately, Impossible Foods didn’t have the physical resources to mass-produce its own meatless burger. OSI Group was brought into the fold for this very reason, and OSI has tremendous amounts of capability to help Impossible Foods reach its quota.

OSI has advanced technologies that are cutting-edge. In the US alone, the company has a variety of advanced facilities near Chicago and throughout the western half of the country. White Castle, Applebee’s, Red Robin and Cheesecake Factory are just a few of the food retailers that have contracts with Impossible Foods. OSI Group was brought in to fill the void so that these restaurants could receive their products on time.
